Base transcriptions
The original poem's digital base comes from Project Gutenberg: El gaucho Martín Fierro (14765) and La vuelta de Martín Fierro (15066). The original downloaded sources are preserved.
Documented changes
The digital edition restores two verses absent in the adopted transcription, normalizes one stanza number and restores a disordered sequence. These interventions are documented in the emendations manifest.
Limits of verification
Technical checks cover 7,210 verse records in 46 cantos and their correspondence to the source files and declared changes. An automated comparison with a Library of Congress of Argentina edition found 55 matches below a 90% similarity threshold that require editorial examination. This is not an independent philological certification.
